Abby is the cat's meow. She's worked with all kinds of domestic and exotic animals since 2013, has always owned cats, and grew up with dogs. Her passions include animal rehabilitation, winning over shy pets, and meeting other animal lovers.

All animal cuddler & best friend to those big and small

Amy is fantastic with animals that need someone with an understanding & gentle nature. Her friendly, without being pushy, personality is a hit with even the shyest of pets. Amy has experience with cats, dogs, avian, rodent, and farm animals.

SERVICES OFFERED

  • $20 for an in-home meet & greet

    1–2 Pickle team members will visit you & your pet at home to chat about your pets needs & where the supplies are. We want to make sure to keep things as ‘normal’ for your pets as possible. Meet and greets are required for in home care.

  • $40 for a structured walk

    All dog walks are scheduled for 30 minutes. Walks are structured to work on good behavior and walking manners. Our goal for every walk is to use it as a mini training session and bonding opportunity to maximize your dog’s health and happiness.

  • $40 for 30 minutes

    All in-home drop in visits are scheduled for 30 minutes and open to almost all species of animal. This keeps them safe and in their normal daily routine, as much as possible.

    Arrival and departure time is set in a 3 hour time window to allow our team members flexibility in their in home schedules, as well as life (traffic, construction, etc.).

  • $125 no matter how many pets you have & we don’t charge for medicating!

    Overnight in home care is a great option for most animals.

    We’ll come to your home at dinner time and stay throughout the night, until after breakfast.

    These visits are usually 12 hours or more. Arrival and departure time is set in a 3 hour time window to allow our team members flexibility in their in home schedules, as well as life (traffic, construction, etc.)

    In home overnights includes free daycare for dogs that meet our daycare requirements & have passed a behavioral analysis in advance!

  • We love & care for nearly all species of pets!

    Have a dog that needs to snuggle with someone at night? Cats that need extra care and attention throughout the night and morning? A turtle that needs to be fed? We’re here to care for your pet in a way that is comfort for them.

    We do not offer 12 hour visits during the day or 24 hour care at this time.

  • We only send the team member(s) that you've met and approved. We never send someone that you haven't had the opportunity to meet and/or authorize to be in your home.

    We don't keep keys on file, and encourage clients utilizing keys to have a realtor box available for use.

  • Most nights we stay 12 or more hours. We don't leave until your pets are all fully and properly cared for.

  • No. All pets & homes receive the same great care and price as everyone else. Going out of town with a friend or family member? You can have their pet stay at your home and split the cost!

  • We do administer medications on a regular basis. We do not administrator injections or medications that are extremely time sensitive (which isn't the case for most medications).

  • Sometimes our arrival times vary depending on construction in the area and other appointments your team member has each that day. This can cause our arrival time to vary, but we will always stay for your allotted time frame.

  • No. In home care is for all pets, whereas our memberships are for dogs that join us for daycare and/or boarding services.

FAQs

HOW TO SCHEDULE IN HOME CARE

Schedule a meet and greet. 1-2 Pickle members will visit your house so you can take us through your pet’s routine & show us where all the supplies are.

Make a reservation in the client portal for your desired dates. Schedule as far in advance as possible to help ensure the Pickles team is available to care for your pet.

We will reach out to you via email to confirm your reservation dates, time of visits, and services.

Reservations are not considered final until Abby coordinates and approves the visit.

The Pickles Team is carefully scheduled for in home care. Once a reservation is confirmed we ensure the quality of care for your pet by limiting or declining other in home requests for the same time period. Our in home team works on commission and will clear their schedule of other work, personal events, and earning opportunities. Compassionate care of your pets and our team is our goal, and our cancellation policy allows us to do both. As a small, locally owned and operated business, we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policy. Thank you for your understanding and support of Pickles Playland!

CANCELLATION POLICY

LESS THAN 7 DAYS NOTICE

Any visit canceled within 7 calendar days of the first date of service will be charged at full price for the dog’s entire stay.

7+ DAYS NOTICE

There is no charge for any service if you cancel 7 or more calendar days before the first date of service.
