The Pickle Crew

Pickles Logan
Pickles is kind of a big dill.
In 2015 Pickles was found, as a 2 month old puppy, on the side of Hwy 520. By the time he was 4 months old he had 2 heart surgeries and a life expectancy of up to 2 years. He became an oldie but a goodie as he grew up and became a jungle gym for the small dogs at the daycare. Pickles enjoyed bananas, sun bathing, and hanging out with Romeo (his best friend that happens to be a cat). Pickles passed away in 2023 but will never be forgotten.

Nikki Johnson APDT, AKC CGC
CEO, Canine Behaviorist, & Chief Dog Officer. Pronouns: She/her.
Growing up I was told I should work with dogs, but wasn’t sure what field I should go into. So I tried them all. I started in rescue then graduated to nutrition, veterinary assisting, grooming, pet sitting, and most importantly canine behavioral training. Understanding how to enhance the bond between humans and their furry soulmates is my passion. Keeping dogs out of shelters is my goal.
-
Alondra D.
General Manager at Kirkland & Dog Mom. Pronouns: She/her.
My love for animals as a kid is what inspired me to enter the wonderful world of pet care. I have been managing with Pickles Playland since 2020. I've gained so much experience here working with dogs from all walks of life. I believe that it is important to take each dog's individual personality and preferences into account when caring for them. Being a dog parent myself, I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your beloved fur baby. When I'm not taking care of pups, I enjoy building lego sets with my husband, taking my pup to the park, and going to rock concerts.
-
Julia H.
Assistant Manager at Kirkland. Pronouns: She/they.
Julia is a boss in the making. She’s thoughtful and caring about others, great at giving direction, and driven to learn. That’s true for dogs and humans in Julia’s life. She’s a mom for birds and a tiny pet mouse that had been discarded in a cage along with trash. Her caring nature for all things in her life is evident to everyone she meets. Having Julia on our team makes our team strong. When not at work she is in Japan from time to time, talking to her mom (who makes the best cookies), or teaching her birds fun new words.
-
Jayson H.
General Manager at Redmond. Pronouns: He/they.
I moved to Seattle after deciding England wasn't quite rainy and wet enough, and was instantly delighted to learn there are more breeds of dog than Dalmatians and Corgis. As a kid I loved to remind neighbors that I was born the year of the dog, and spent my afternoons going around and asking if I could walk their pets for free. Working with animals is truly what I believe I was meant to do in life! When I'm not with the Pickle Pack, I'm spending time with my husband and two cats.
-
Christian M.
Assistant Manager at Redmond. Pronouns: He/they.

Everyday I tell myself how lucky am I to be able to go to work and care for other peoples’ dogs as if they were my own. It’s truly something so special. When I’m not at Pickles you can find me either hanging with my family or by any body of water with my boyfriend and our pup Mogwai. I also love to spend my time fishing or watching Real Housewives on my back deck with a glass of wine.

Aubrey M.
Canine Behavioral Training Apprentice & Team member at Kirkland. Pronouns: she/they.
I was born of a long line of "crazy dog ladies", there has just always been dogs around. At home, at family gatherings, on outings. I’d always love helping grammy take care of her pups and the pups of friends she would have board over at her house before doggy daycares were popular.
Everyone knows I am an absolute sucker for spaniels and I am weak against the power of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel’s eyes. My first puppy was named Lucy, and she was a perfect little tri-color cavvy!!
It is an honor and a pleasure to get to see so many fluffy faces every day and making a genuine friendship with them. Every dog deserves a little scratch under the chin and a kiss on their cute little foreheads while being told they are a perfect little guy whose done no wrong ever even if its a lie. <3

I have over a decade if experience in the industry with veterinary assisting and finding my passion in the dog daycare and boarding world. I could not imagine doing anything else for the rest of my life.

My love for animals started very young for me, as I spent a lot of time on my grandparents’ traditional little farm in Romania. I have previous years of experience working at a dog daycare and I’m excited to continue doing what I love!

Khue N.
Team member at Kirkland. Pronouns: She/her.
Hello, fellow pet parents! I have always loved all animals, no matter what size or howweird they are. I truly believe that our pets are the truest friends you can have for their lack of judgement and unconditional love for us. I have a family dog who's a spunky little chiweenie, her name is Sparky. In August of 2023, I adopted an 11 month old Australian cattle dog mix from the Humane Society and named him Nibbler. I suspect his other half would be a pit bull due to his chunky head and goofy attitude. I also have a little leopard gecko named Omelette, who has a better looking home than I do. The dog parks around me are pretty empty. So I like to let Nibbler go wild while I paint what I see around me. I enjoy creating Dungeons and Dragons characters for my friends and love making fun fantasy artwork about my own pets. I also love cooking, both for myself and my dogs. I am excited to make new four legged friends with strong language barriers! I can't wait to meet all of the furry faces of Pickles Playland and get to know every pup's personality!
-
Martin D.
Team Member at Redmond. Pronouns: He/him.
Before coming to Pickles Playland, I worked with human children in both schools and unstructured daycare. Kids and puppies are more alike than you might think - though dogs communicate differently, they form bonds, play, and learn and grow just like we do. My favorite part of working here is celebrating milestones and making memories with your furry friends in the same way as I did with children! When I'm not bringing the party to the playroom, I love to play all kinds of games and cuddle with my beloved.
-
Olivia M.
Team member at Kirkland & Behavioral Training Apprentice at all locations.
I have always been a dog person! Growing up I wasn’t allowed to have a dog, so I went to volunteer at shelters, walked dogs in my neighborhood, and pet-sat as often as I could. I always found my way to get ma “dog fix” in. As soon as I got to college and moved out I began to foster homeless rescue dogs and I’m passionate about their care, nutrition, training, and enrichment. I am excited to meet all of your cute pups and to be a part of their time at Pickles Playland!
